Anti-Tracker protects privacy by blocking websites trackers from tracking your online behaviour.
This data is used to understand the users’ browsing preferences and behavior to promote marketing or sales, and you end up getting personalised ads on every website you visit.
To block trackers, you must do the following things.
- Activate the Web Extension for your browsers by visiting https://www.quickheal.co.in/anti-tracker-v24plus
- Configure Anti-Tracker in Quick Heal Total Security.
Anti-tracker displays the total count of trackers blocked and breakup by analytics trackers, social media trackers, advertising trackers and others.
a. Configuring Anti-Tracker
- Open Quick Heal Total Security.
- On the left pane, navigate to Privacy > Anti-Tracker.
A summary of all blocked trackers is displayed. You can configure any of the following features: Manage Extensions, Manage Exclusion, Clear Browser Cache, and Anti-Tracker Setting.
- On the Anti-Tracker screen, click Manage Extensions.
A list of browsers appears with corresponding buttons to enable or disable Anti-Tracker for that browser. - If no extension is added, then click Add to add the extension for that browser. The extension for that browser is downloaded and a prompt confirming addition to that browser is displayed. For example, Add to Chrome.
- Click Add Extension on the confirmation box. The extension is added to the browser.
- On the Anti-Tracker screen, click Manage Exclusion.
- Enter the websites on which you need trackers not to be blocked by Anti-Tracker and then click +.
Ensure that you enlist those websites that you trust. You may remove any website, if you prefer. - Click Save.
- On the Anti-Tracker screen, click Clear Browser Cache.
The Clear Browser Cache dialog appears.
You can clear cache of a website manually and as you prefer.- To set a schedule to clear cache automatically, click the configure icon and set the schedule frequency and time as required. Click Saveto save the settings.
- To clear cache instantly, select a browser and click Clear Cache Now.
Cache of the browser will be removed automatically.
- To close the Clear Browser Cache dialog, click Close.
- On Anti-Tracker screen, click Anti-Tracker Settings.
A list of tracker categories appears. - Select any of the trackers as per your preference. To save your settings, click Save.
Be sure why you allow or block any trackers.

Clearing the cache of browsers helps improve the performance of the browser.

Note: Anti-Tracker is supported on Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, and Microsoft Edge.
b. Removing Anti-Tracker extension from browser
If you are already using Anti-Tracker extension 1.0.X, then you need to remove it and add the newer 2.0.X for seamless functioning. For removing old extension, kindly follow browser specific steps:
Google Chrome :
- Open Google Chrome.
- Click the three dots (ellipsis) on the upper right corner of the browser.
- Select Extensions > Manage Extensions.
- Select the extension that you want to remove and click the Remove button.
- Click Remove to confirm.
Microsoft Edge :
- Open Microsoft Edge.
- Click the three dots on the upper right corner of the browser.
- Select Extensions > Manage Extensions.
- Select the extension that you want to remove and click the Remove button.
- Click Remove to confirm.
Mozilla Firefox :
- Open Firefox.
- Click the three horizontal lines on the upper right corner of the browser.
- Select Add-ons.
- Click the Extensions tab.
- Select the extension that you want to remove and click the Remove button.
- Click Remove to confirm.
