Performance Monitor helps you monitor your system’s health and performance by displaying key indicators such as device health, boot time, CPU usage, temperature, and boot time trends.
Using Performance Monitor
To view the Performance Monitor details, follow these steps:
- Open Quick Heal Total Security.
- On the left pane, navigate to Performance > Performance Monitor.
The Performance Monitor screen displays the following information:
- Device Health: Displays the overall health status of your system based on monitored performance parameters.
- Current Boot Time: Displays the time taken by your system to boot. The current boot time is compared only with the immediately previous boot time.
- Average CPU Usage: Displays the average CPU usage as a percentage and indicates whether it is within the normal range.
- Temperature: Displays the current system temperature, when available.
- If the system temperature cannot be determined, Monitoring unavailable is displayed.
- Boot Time Trend: Displays the boot time trend based on a maximum of the last five boot records.
- CPU Utilization: Displays the CPU usage of the top five running processes.
- Displays the CPU usage percentage for each process.
- Displays CPU usage values less than 1% with decimal precision.
- Displays long process names across two lines. Hover over a process name to view its complete name.
- Open Task Manager: Opens Windows Task Manager to help you view and manage running processes.
Note:
- A performance notification is displayed only when a change in your device’s performance is detected.
- If all monitored performance parameters are within the normal range, no notification is displayed.
- If the system temperature cannot be detected (for example, on some virtual machines) Monitoring unavailable is displayed.
