Schedule Cleanup
Schedule Cleanup allows you to schedule cleanup activities to run automatically at a specified time. You can create scheduled tasks to perform Disk Cleanup, Registry Cleanup, Traces Cleanup, and Defragmenter. The scheduled tasks run automatically in the background according to the configured schedule.
Customizing Schedule Cleanup
You can create, edit, or remove scheduled cleanup tasks as required. However, Defragmenter can be scheduled to run only at the next system startup.
To customize Schedule Cleanup, follow these steps:
- Open Quick Heal Total Security Multi-Device.
- Navigate to Performance > PC Tuner > Schedule Cleanup.
The List of Scheduled Task(s) screen appears and displays the configured tasks along with details such as Task Name, Username, Frequency, Activity, Backup, and Action. - Use the following options to manage scheduled tasks:
- Add Task – Creates a new scheduled cleanup task.
- Edit – Modifies the selected scheduled cleanup task.
- Remove – Deletes the selected scheduled cleanup task.
- To create a new scheduled cleanup task, click Add Task.
The Configure Schedule Cleanup screen appears. - Enter the Task Name, Frequency, and Start At details.
- Select the cleanup activities that you want to include in the scheduled task. By default, all available activities are selected. Clear the check boxes for the activities that you do not want to include.
- Take backup before cleaning is selected by default. We recommend keeping this option selected so that cleaned items can be restored if required.
- If you want the oldest backup to be deleted automatically when the backup limit is reached, select Delete oldest backup if maximum backup limit exceeds.
- Enter the Username and Password.
- Click Apply to save the task or Close to exit without saving the changes.
Note: If Delete oldest backup if maximum backup limit exceeds is not selected and the backup limit has been reached, the scheduled cleanup task will not run until backup space becomes available.
