Whenever any external drives are connected to your system, the autorun feature starts automatically and all programs in the drive may also start. The autorun malware may also be written in the drives so that it starts as soon as the drive is connected and spreads malware to your system. This feature helps you safeguard your USB devices from autorun malware.
To configure secure removable drives, follow these steps:
- Open Quick Heal AntiVirus Pro.
- On the left pane, navigate to Protection > External Drive Protection > Secure Removable Drives.
- Under Secure Removable Drives, click the > icon to secure removable drives.
- If a removable drive is connected, all the removable drives plugged into your system are listed. Select the drive and click the Secure Removable Drive button.
The drive will be secured against autorun malwares when used in other systems.
To Un-secure a secured removable drive, click Un-Secure removable drive .
Tip: Quick Heal recommends that you always keep the autorun feature of your USB drive turned off.
