Malware Protection

This feature helps you protect your system from threats such as spyware, adware, keyloggers, and riskware while you are connected to the Internet.

i. Configuring Malware Protection

To configure Malware Protection, follow these steps:

  1. Open Quick Heal Total Security.
  2. On the left pane, navigate to Protection > Device Security > Malware Protection.
  3. Turn Malware Protection on. Malware Protection is enabled.
  4. Select the option Enable Adware detection if required. By default, this option is selected.
  5. Click Save.

ii. Turning off Malware Protection

It is strongly recommended to keep Malware Protection enabled at all times to ensure your system remains secure and protected from potential malware threats. However, you may disable Malware Protection when necessary. While disabled, you have the option to temporarily turn off the feature, with the ability to automatically reactivate it after the selected time interval expires.

To turn off Malware Protection, follow these steps.

  1. Open Quick Heal Total Security.
  2. On the left pane, navigate to Protection > Device Security and then click Malware Protection. Turn Malware Protection off.
  3. A confirmation pop-up appears, prompting you to confirm whether you wish to disable the setting.

  4. Click Yes to proceed with disabling it.
  5. Select one of the following options:
    • Turn on after 15 minutes
    • Turn on after 30 minutes
    • Turn on after 1 hour
    • Turn on after next reboot
  6. To save your settings, click OK.

Note that this change is applicable to Quick Heal v25.2 users and later versions.
