Risk Profile

The Risk Profile indicator reflects the level of protection your device has against threats such as malicious links, fraudulent websites, and harmful applications. To strengthen your device's security posture, click the provided link to view and implement recommended actions tailored to the specific risks detected on your device.

By following these recommendations, you can significantly lower your risk score and enhance overall device safety. For optimal protection, it is advised to enable all suggested settings.

Recommended Actions to Manage and Improve Your Risk Profile:

  • Unauthorized Access Alert
    Enable this feature to prevent malicious apps from accessing your device’s camera without your knowledge.
  • Dark Web Monitoring
    Activate to receive alerts to check if your personal information is found in a data breach. Follow recommended actions to mitigate related risks.
  • Password Protection
    Secure your Quick Heal security settings by enabling password protection to prevent unauthorized modifications.
  • Scam Link Protection
    Enable to safeguard against phishing and scam links, reducing the risk of online fraud.
  • Fraud App Detector
    Automatically scans and alerts you if any harmful or suspicious app is downloaded onto your device.
  • Fraud Call Alert
    Receive notifications when incoming calls are identified as fraudulent or spam.
  • Call Forwarding Alert
    Get notified if your calls are being forwarded to unknown or unauthorized numbers.
  • Secure Payments
    Enable to verify the authenticity of QR codes before completing any payment transaction.
  • Developer Options
    Disable Developer Options to reduce security vulnerabilities. Keeping this enabled can increase your risk score due to potential misuse by malicious apps.
  • Accessibility Permission
    Grant this permission to allow certain security features to function properly. If other apps (besides AntiFraud) have this access, revoke it to improve your risk score.
  • Freemium vs. Premium
    Upgrade to the premium version to unlock full access to advanced security features that enhance your protection.
  • VPN Usage
    It is recommended to disable VPNs, especially those from unknown or untrusted sources, as they may obscure harmful activity.
  • Notification Access Permission
    Grant this permission to ensure features reliant on notification access function as intended. Revoke access from unauthorized apps to improve your security posture.
  • Unknown Source Installation
    Disable the option to install apps from unknown sources. This helps prevent unauthorized or potentially harmful apps from being installed.
  • Rooted Device Status
    A rooted device poses a higher security risk and will result in an elevated risk score. Restoring the device to its original state is recommended for better protection.

Fraud Call Alert

Fraud Call Alert provides an immediate evaluation of incoming calls from unfamiliar numbers to assess their potential for being scams or fraudulent. It promptly notifies you if a call is suspected of being fraudulent, ensuring your safety and protecting you from potential threats.

To enable Fraud Call Alert, follow these steps:

  1. Open AntiFraud.
  1. Go to Features.
  1. Click Fraud Call Alert.
  1. Enable the toggle switch to receive notifications for potential fraud calls.
    This feature requires your permission to access the call logs to be able to identify potential fraud calls.
  2. Click Grant access to proceed.
  3. This feature is now correctly configured to function as intended and identify fraudulent calls.

Note:

  • You can also report an unwanted number as fraud directly through this feature.
  • This is a premium feature and is not available to users on the Freemium plan.

Scam Protection

Scam Protection safeguards you from fraudulent links that appear to originate from credible individuals or organizations, aiming to deceive you into disclosing sensitive personal information through fake emails, messages, or websites. This feature blocks all types of scam links, ensuring your safety and protecting you from financial fraud related to phishing attempts.

To enable Scam Protection, follow these steps:

  1. Open AntiFraud.
  1. Go to Features.
  1. Open Scam Protection.
  1. Toggle the switch to ‘On’. Please note that enabling Browsing Protection will automatically activate both Messaging Protection and QR Code Inspection. To enable or disable Messaging Protection or QR Code Inspection individually, you will need to adjust them manually.
  2. Note: This feature requires you to grant the accessibility and SMS permission to scan every link you click.

  3. Click Grant access to proceed.

This feature is now correctly configured to function as intended and to provide a list of the number of links inspected and blocked.

Once AntiFraud detects a threat, a message will appear stating Potentially Fraudulent Site Blocked.

  • You will then have the option to return to safety, thereby avoiding any potential threat.
  • Alternatively, you can click on See Details to view further information about the risks associated with the link, though this is not recommended.
  • If you believe the site has been miscategorized as malicious, you can report it as safe by selecting the Mis-categorization option. Please ensure you are certain before selecting this option.
  • Lastly, you also have the option to proceed with the link despite the potential risks. However, this is not recommended and should only be done at your own discretion and risk.

Note for Freemium Users:

In the Freemium version, AntiFraud.AI is limited to blocking up to 10 links per day. For unlimited link scanning and blocking, and to ensure comprehensive protection for your device, we recommend upgrading to the Premium version.

Fraud App Detector

Fraud App Detector proactively identifies and alerts you to potentially harmful, fraudulent, or deceptive apps on your device. It detects applications that may steal information, spy on you, infect your device with malicious code, or mimic legitimate banking apps. By safeguarding against these risks, it protects you from unauthorized access to your personal information and ensures your device remains secure.

Follow these steps to scan your device to check if any potential fraud app attempting to invade it:

  1. Open AntiFraud.
  1. Go to Home > Fraud App Detector widget.
  1. Click SCAN.
  2. It scans for any possible intrusion on your device.

  1. Now go to Features > Fraud App Detector.

    It provides a list of detected fraud apps and recommends their removal, allowing you to take immediate action directly from the interface. You can either uninstall it or chose to ignore it.

    You can not take an action on any detected threats until and unless you upgrade to premium.

Banking Fraud Alert

Banking Fraud Alert notifies you if it detects a call that may pose a risk of fraud. Fraudsters often attempt to deceive individuals into disclosing sensitive banking information, such as OTPs and passwords, which can result in financial loss. This feature provides real-time alerts when a call is suspected to be fraudulent, helping you safeguard against potential financial harm.

To enable Banking Fraud Alert, follow these steps:

  1. Open AntiFraud.
  1. Go to Features.
  1. Open Banking Fraud Alert.
  1. Toggle the switch to true. Once the feature is enabled, it alerts you upon receiving a banking OTP.

Fraud Protect Buddy

Fraud Protect Buddy lets you designate a loved one, who may be at risk of fraud, as a dependant. It promptly alerts you if your dependant receives a call that could potentially be fraudulent.

To add a dependant, follow these steps:

  1. Open AntiFraud.
  1. Go to Features.
  1. Open Fraud Protect Buddy.
  1. Click Add to add your loved one as a dependant.
  1. Enter the dependant details in the designated boxes, such as Name, Mobile Number.
  1. Set notification/ringtone preferences.
  1. Click Send Request. Upon the dependant's acceptance of your request, you will be designated as a buddy to the dependant.

Note:

  • Be informed that the dependant must have a licensed copy of Quick Heal AntiFraud installed on their Android device in order to be added as a dependant.
  • Data generation in Insights begins as soon as the first OTP is received.

  • You can access the Insights section to view consolidated data across various timeframes — 1 week, 1 month, 6 months, and 12 months.
  • The freemium users are limited to viewing data from the past 1 week only; extended timeframes are available exclusively to premium users.

Secure Payments

While visiting a banking app, you may encounter risks such as falling victim to cyber-attacks where your credentials can be stolen by fraudsters, potentially resulting in financial loss.

Secure Payments protect you from any situations where your identity or credentials could be compromised. It quickly checks certain parameters of the payment app and the state of your device to determine if you are safe to make an online payment.

To enable Secure Payments, follow these steps:

  1. Open AntiFraud.
  1. Go to Features.
  1. Open Secure Payments.
  1. Toggle the switch to true.
  1. Grant the required permissions from device settings to enable Secure Payments.
  2. Payment applications installed on your mobile device are automatically added to the secure payment list. AntiFraud scans these banking and payment apps to assess their security status.

    • If the app is secure, a green checkmark is displayed against all verified parameters.
    • If any security issues are detected, the relevant parameters are highlighted for your attention.
    • You also have the option to select a checkbox to suppress repeated notifications related to Device Integrity errors in the future.
  1. Click Proceed.

Unauthorised Access Alert

Unauthorized Access Alert notifies you if any application attempts to access your device's microphone or camera while the device is not in use or locked. This feature helps protect your privacy by alerting you to potential unauthorised access.

To enable Unauthorised Access Alert, follow these steps:

  1. Open AntiFraud.
  1. Go to Features.
  1. Open Unauthorised Access Alert.
  1. Toggle the switch to true for the mic and camera separately according to your preferences and grant the necessary permissions. Once this feature is enabled, it will provide real-time alerts if an application accesses your microphone or camera without your knowledge.

Dark Web Monitoring

Dark Web Monitoring continuously scans hidden and clandestine areas of the internet, alerting you if your personal information—such as email addresses, passwords, dates of birth, genders, phone numbers, physical addresses, purchases, salutation, or credit card numbers—is being sold or shared by criminals. This service enables you to take proactive measures to safeguard yourself from potential fraud, such as updating your passwords or contacting your bank.

Follow these steps to use this feature:

  1. Open AntiFraud.
  1. Go to Features.
  1. Open Dark Web Monitoring.
  1. Enter the email address you wish to check to determine if any data associated with that email has been leaked. The process may take some time, but once completed, it will provide details of any leaked data, including the app name and associated risk level.

Note for Freemium Users:

If you are using the Freemium version, you can view details for up to five data breaches along with the recommended actions to resolve them. Breach details beyond this limit will be blurred. To access full breach information and resolution steps, you can tap on any blurred breach to upgrade to the Premium version.

Call Forwarding Alert

Call Forwarding Alert promptly informs you whenever your incoming calls are being redirected to another number.

Fraudsters may exploit this feature to intercept your calls and potentially access sensitive information for identity theft. The alert encourages you to adjust your device settings and disable call forwarding to safeguard your personal information.

To enable Call Forwarding Alert, follow these steps:

  1. Open AntiFraud.
  1. Go to Features.
  1. Open Call Forwarding Alert.
  1. Toggle the switch to true. You now will receive the alert whenever your calls are being forwarded to any number.

Screen Share Alert

Screen Share Alert notifies you if any app is sharing your screen during an ongoing call. Fraudsters may use screen sharing apps to steal sensitive information by posing as trustworthy individuals. This feature helps protect your personal information, ensuring you maintain control over how and whether your data is accessed or collected.

To enable Screen Share Alert, follow these steps:

  1. Open AntiFraud.
  1. Go to Features.
  1. Open Screen Share Alert.

Toggle the switch to true. Once this feature is enabled, it alerts you whenever any app is sharing your device screen.

 

Payee Name Announcer

Payee Name Announcer announces the name of the payment receiver (payee) each time you enter the PIN for making a payment. This feature assists you in verifying that your payment is directed to the correct recipient, thereby helping to prevent QR code payment fraud.

Dependency on Accessibility Permissions

The feature requires access to your device’s accessibility settings to function effectively. Accessibility permissions allow the application to detect and announce payee names seamlessly.

Possible Scenarios

  1. Delayed Accessibility Permissions

    In some cases, the device or application may delay granting accessibility permissions due to system-level processes or restrictions.

  2. Denied Accessibility Permissions

    Certain devices or applications might deny accessibility permissions outright, preventing the feature from functioning as intended.

To enable Payee Name Announcer, follow these steps:

  1. Open AntiFraud.
  1. Go to Features.
  1. Open Payee Name Announcer.
  1. Toggle the switch to true. Once the feature is enabled, it calls out the name of payment recipient (payee) on scanning payment QR codes.

Note: The applications supported by this feature are: Paytm, Amazon Pay, PhonePe and GoogleP Pay.
